Jackson County's pet of the week is Nala

Jackson County Animal Shelter:

This is Nala. She is a female German Pointer and Pit Bull mix. Anyone is sure to fall for her calm and gentle personality. She is such a sweet dog that would be perfect for a family with a nice big yard.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter is located at 4400 Audubon Road in Gautier (east end of the soccer complex). They are open from 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. – noon on Saturdays.

The adoption fee of $50 includes initial vaccinations (boosters, rabies, bordatella, deworming), spay/neutering, and a free health visit to a JC vet.  All adopted animals are spayed/neutered prior to leaving the shelter.

For more information about adopting an animal contact the JCAS at 228-497-6350 or visit the county’s website www.co.jackson.ms.us. Click on “Pet Picks” to view some of the animals available for adoption.

Update on Past Pets of the Week:

Prince, the Lab/Heeler mix is still available for adoption.

Congratulations to Leeroy, the Chow chow, for finding a home!
