March Employees of the Month Honored

Singing River Health System has honored Elizabeth McAulay, Gina Woods and Mark Anderson as March Employees of the Month.

Singing River Hospital has honored Elizabeth McAulay, RN, NPICU.

McAulay was born in Petal, Miss. She has been a registered nurse for 21 years, previously working at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss. She began working at Singing River Hospital in 1998 on the Ground Northeast floor and transferred to NPICU is 2011. She has been with SRHS for 15 years.

George County Heart Walk a Great Success

George County Heart Walk a Great Success

George Regional Hospital:

The George Regional Hospital campus was filled with people on the Saturday before Easter for the first George County Heart Walk. One hundred and fifty eight runners and walkers crossed the finish line at the “Hippity Hop for Your Heart 5K Fun Run,” and another 100 plus participated in the free family events on campus. Children of all ages enjoyed an Easter egg hunt, face painting, balloon art, pictures with the Eater Bunny, and refreshments. Mississippi State Department of Health releases county health rankings

According to the fourth annual County Health Rankings released today by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, DeSoto County has the healthiest residents in Mississippi, while Quitman County residents are the least healthy county in the state.
